About

Hi there! I’m Janea (pronounced Janae), and I’m thrilled that you decided to check out my blog! Before I tell you what I mean when I say “a blue set of eyes,” I want to tell you some things about me. First, above all, I adore Christ. He is the lord of my life, and the source of my strength. Secondly, I am a bible enthusiast, mother to the funniest and sweetest boy that has ever walked this earth, I love to read self-help books, I’m living out my calling to serve others in the form of a career in nursing, and I am on a mission to save souls and change the vision of people like you. Yes, YOU!

Why Blue eyes?

Good question love muffin! Blue represents the color of confidence, intelligence, serenity and stability. In poker, the blue chip is the most sought after. In business, “blue chip” companies are those that can withstand the fluctuating economy, and remain stable and lucrative. That’s how we should be in life. No matter the battle, we have to use God’s grace to go forward in boldness, and remain steadfast. When we align our lives with his word, our eyes are opened to the vision he has for us. That’s when we get our blue eyes! And once you have them, there’s nothing you won’t be able to accomplish.

What qualifies me?

Glad you asked! I haven’t always had blue eyes. I was in an extremely tumultuous, long term relationship filled with infidelities, lies, major emotional scarring, shattered dreams, lost friendships, and weekly trips to see a therapist for 9 months. But hear me when I say, what the devil meant for bad, God did for my good. Not only did that relationship bring me the greatest blessing of my life, which is the gift of motherhood, it also led me on the journey to getting my blue set of eyes!

The Endgame?

My prayer for this blog is to lead someone else to their blue eyes! In 1 Peter 4:10-11, the Bible says “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.” In obedience to the word of God, I invite you to allow my words to minister to your spirit. So before we begin, do me a favor and take a deep breath. Face yourself in the mirror, and process the person standing before you. Then, allow my words to help you get ready for your date with Destiny. Because honey, in the words of Coco Chanel “it’s best to be as pretty as possible for Destiny.”
